“The environment’s great, the people are great — everything's awesome,” Jackson said.
Jackson, a country fan, has seen stars Tim McGraw and Luke Bryan perform live in concert. But he said it was his first time seeing Easton Corbin, who took to the stage Thursday night.
Jackson, who was at the event with friends, said he planned to check out McFadden’s and some of the other restaurants that line Main Street by Stamford’s Columbus Park.
And for future concerts? “I’ll be here next week for CeeLo Green,” Jackson said.
Country star Easton Corbin took to the stage as headliner Thursday. Corbin is the first country male artist in 17 years to have his first two consecutive singles reach No. 1 – “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It.”
Next week, CeeLo Green, who is known for his top hit, “Forget You” and starred in the NBC Hit “The Voice", will take the stage.
Alive@Five is held Thursday evenings through Aug. 11 at 5 p.m. in Columbus Park. It is limited to those 21 and over.
Live music for the after-work crowds has become a ritual in downtown Stamford. For more information on Alive @ Five, visit the Downtown Special Services District website here.
